JAC-QUEESSSS!! Yeah-E-Yeah!
I would like to formally introduce the world to JACQUESSSS!!! Man I can't even BEGIN to express how much I love this dude!! lol. As you can tell I'm really, really, really, REALLY trying not to sound like a groupie, but mannnn, this kid is so amazing. I would like to thank my "good friend" Miracle for putting me on game with this one. I don't really feel like I have to hype this kid up too much because, believe me, his VOICE speaks for itself. TRUST this will not be the last time I blog about this guy. Hope you enjoy and please leave comments and tell me what you think.

Let Me Tell You Why I'm Here
Hey, what's good, young world? Today I'm going to explain a little bit of why I'm doing what I'm doing; no, not the fact that I started this blog as a class assignment lol. I'm talking about music. Every since I was a little kid I always like music but I'm really not to sure it was a passion back then, I mean... I guess I was just as interested as any other kid my age.
I can remember times sitting around listening to my uncles "freestyle", they weren't rappers nor did they pretend to be, it was just something they did every once in a while. Sometimes they'd even let me join in.
Buy the time I was in 6th grade I actually began to write my own music, due to the influence of my older brother, whom I credit now for me finding out my extreme talent later in life. But it was nothing too serious, I honestly only did it because of my brother who was actually a decent rapper in our younger days and is still pretty okay today. When he would grab his notebook and begin to write, so did I. By having "writing sessions" in our minds we probably felt like we were like Jay-Z and Tupac (hahaha). But yet I don't really believe it was my true passion at that age. In those years I was all about basketball.
Taking a quick glimpse over the next couple of years (the rest of middle school and through the 10th grade) rapping still wasn't my thing, basically I didn't realize just how amazing I was. I would kick a couple funny freestyles here and there to get some ooo's and ahhh's and a couple laughs out of people.
This brings us to the 11th grade... Now this is REALLY where things changed. Junior year was probably one of the best years of my life because this is when I realized so much about my self, such as my skill in writing. I can rememeber the exact moment. Mrs. Harper, my English teacher, gave us an assignment, "I want you guys to take about THREE to FIVE minutes to write a poem about being noticed, or noticing something," me being the rebel in everything, I raised my hand and asked, "Well can we write about NOT being noticed?," she agreed and we began to write.
I never really like to talk to the class with everyone's attention directly on me because I had a bit of a nervous condition where I'd sweat beyond my control. But my friend (Carta' N..) made a big scene, "Aye, GeorgiaBoy read your paper, we wanna here yours! Read your paper. blah blah blah". Of course I said no but by then everyone was campaigning in his favor and he agreed he would read his first if I promised to read mine. So he did...
Once he finished, suddenly it was my turn. I sucked it up and went for it. With my head hanging down and sweat dripping down my face I read my poem aloud: (I truly debating whether I should put it on here for everyone to read because I still have it.....but I'm scared someone might steal it lol)... But anyway, when it was over all the girls were clapping and everything and dudes were giving me my props lol it was a good feeling (actually I was just happy nobody made fun of me for it.) One of the boys actually slammed his hand on the table upset yelling "HOW DOES HE DO IT?!!!) LMAO!! We were cracking up after that.
So, that was the first moment I realized I was good at writing. Now 12th grade was when it was official in my mind and due to inspiring artists around me (Carta' and a few other people who would kick raps and freestyles with us) so was my ability to rap. They pushed me into a position where I realized my potential and now, not to sound like an asshole, I really don't feel like a lot of rappers can touch me when it comes to rap. I'm just waiting for that opportunity to come around so I can show the world what I'm capable of.
Pretty soon I may be posting some of my music and/or poetry on this blog so please be on the look out. I don't want to write TOO much so I guess well call it a night here...
