Well, guys.....it's been great.
I've had a really good time during my session in this course and I'm glad I made the decision to enroll with Dr. John Gallaher. I enjoyed every moment and every laugh we've shared and I'm sad that I have to let it all go and move on.....Boyz 2 Men said it best.....It really is hard to say goodbye....
Special Thanks to: John Gallaher, Northwest MSU, & Composition 112.

Middle Finger to the Television!
So MTV, BET, and other networks have all agreed to ban Ciara's "Ride It" video from television saying that it is too sexy for TV. I am completely against this decision to the UTMOST! No one thought to ban Marques Houston's "Naked", DeAngelo's "Untitled", Soulja Boy's "She got a Donk", OR Ginuwine's "Riding my Pony". I fell like their decision was sexist and I FULLY support Ciara for this video.

Lil B- "I'm Gay"
The proclaimed "Based God", Lil B, has decided to name his next album to be releases "I'm Gay".
He says that he is not doing this for shock value or using the gay community for shock value.
"The message I want to send is that it’s time to stop using words of separation, judging people, and losing lives over senseless acts of violence. I just want all people to be treated equally, all creeds. It would just make everybody’s time on earth easier. Any of my homophobic fans or any homophobic people, I hope that they can see me do this and it bridges a gap," say Lil B.
I'm not one to judge anyones motives but I will say that Lil B is taking a whoooole lot burden with this one. I hope he can handle what's coming his way.

Lil Boosie Bad Azzz
I know we miss him. This song is called "The Rain" off of his last album "Incarcerated" released right before he was sent off to prison.
Lil Boosie has always rapped what he felt over the years and this one is no different. It almost like you can feel the pain put in to this track. One of my favorite songs on the CD.

I'm a sucker for a greatly directed video and Taylor Gang seems to be taking the cake. At first it was Wiz Khalifa's Roll Up video that caught my attention and now his protege Mac Miller has put out a good one thanks to Rex Arrow.

Mmm Mmm Mmm., Kelly, Kelly Kelly...(faints)
Kelly Rowland is back yet again, and yet again I have another chance to campaign her as the BADDEST chick in the game.
This woman is absolutely GORGEOUS, oh my...I bet mama wouldn't mind if I brought this one home.
This is the most recent song I've heard from her and I must say, "She did her thing." The beat is banging and I've already wrote a crazy hot verse for the remix...you know...just in case she calls me and ask for a feature lol. It's call "Love Me Better". Check it out.

The worst rapper alive represents Rap's BIGGEST legend???
Okay so I'm thinking that this may just be a rumor, but allegedly Soulja Boy Tell'em is supposed to be playing the role of Tupac Shakur in the remake of the classic movie "Juice". Based on apperance I say he could fit the role but what about his acting skills? He already raps like he's remedial and I doubt his acting skills could be much better... only time will tell I guess, huh. If you don't believe me check out the articles for yourself. No not "Lil...", just "Bow Wow"
Shad "Bow Wow" Moss has REALLY grown and stepped his game up since his bubble game days. The only thing that turns my stomach is the fact that he did a song with Lil B "Huhhhhh, whyyyyyy???!!!!" I feel like vomiting!!! Other that disappointment, Bow Wow has really been putting in work both on the movie scene and in the music game (even though I think I remember him saying his was "retiring". Check out his mixtapes...trust me...they shouldn't disappoint you. And he also has a few movies dropping so make sure you check him out.

What a Blessing.
One of my, if not THE, BIGGEST pet peeves is when people don't understand lyrics. They walk around singing songs and reciting lines and aren't even conscious enough to know what they mean. It's makes me SICK to my stomach. But not to worry folks, I SUPER HERO has entered to save the day. It goes by the name of www.rapgenius.com. *starts a soul clap and thanks the LORD*. This sight is so amazing. It breaks down and explains lyrics to nearly every song popular. One of the great things is that you are not limited to the insight of the creators of the sight. The lyrics are uploaded AND explained by sight users. Once a "explanation" is given it has to be approved and other user's can vote on your explanation and add their own insight if they feel need.

WOOP!! HAIR IT IS!!!!!!
Ok so, back it the day, a few rappers made statements in the hip-hop game with weird, funky, different, and trademark hair style. Well it seems that in 2011 the fad is quickly taking over yet
AGAIN. I'm not sure who should be credited with the start of the comeback of this old fad but I'm definitely leaning in the direction of Wiz Khalifa...and of course... Chris Brown. #TeamTGOD and #TeamBreezy. Here's a few past and present hair-styles of the music industry and I must say, I'm pretty damn tempted to try something new myself.

BIG SEAN — My Last Ft. Chris Brown
Man I swear I get soooo much inspiration from people like this. Big Sean is one of the hottest late talents out right not. He cam from being signed to labels where he was not a priority and A&R's telling him he needs to get his buzz up before they can do something with him to now being signed to Def Jam where he is quickly becoming a headliner. I lover Big Sean and his whole demeanor. I'm glad he's finally broke into main stream. And here we have Chris Brown....now we ALL know what Chris Brown has been through...now not only has he put that past behind him but it seems like now his an even bigger icon than he was before. I'm rocking with #TeamBreezy ALL DAY!! Get on board or jump of the edge! "It's Navi !"

Wiz Khalifa silences all the negative criticism.
I fuck with Wiz Khalifa TOUGH! And no, not because I want to imitate him or because he makes me want to smoke weed. I fuck with him because he's such an individual! He make songs about whatever he feels like rapping about. And this song goes hard for real...I'm glad he proved he can rap about more than weed. (This was a clever ass title/concept for the song too "Roll up") So were are all the critics now??....I'll wait...

Lil' KIM VS. NICKI (a personal battle)
So we all know about the whole "Lil Kim vs. Nicki Minaj" beef and what not that has been going on. Well, Lil Kim has recently release a track called "Black Friday", a very clever title in my opinion, against the self-proclaimed Harajuku Barbie. Me personally I'm not always too, too big on "beefs", but I must admit, I've slightly entertained this feud. The have been going back and forth dissing each other in interviews and through Youtube and what not, as well as on the mic. In "Moment for Life" Nicki and Drake both sent shots in Kim's direction saying: : Nicki "P-p-p-p-out cha dinks up!" which is a reference to Lil' Kim's track "Put ya Lighters up" released just a few years ago. Drake also had a line where he said "Young Money the Mafia that's word to Lil Cease" and anyone who's a fan of hip-hop knows the "Junior Mafia" is the clique Lil' Kim along with Lil Cease once belonged to. Below I have posted the video of Lil Kim's "Black Friday" I love it lyrically, she was really giving Nicki bars, I just feel like there should have been a little more....swagger, for lack of a better word, thrown into it. Like she was spittin some hot bars, but she should have put a little more flare in the presentation. Hope you like it; let me know what you think. Remember to follow and subscribe!

Let Me Tell You Why I'm Here
Hey, what's good, young world? Today I'm going to explain a little bit of why I'm doing what I'm doing; no, not the fact that I started this blog as a class assignment lol. I'm talking about music. Every since I was a little kid I always like music but I'm really not to sure it was a passion back then, I mean... I guess I was just as interested as any other kid my age.
I can remember times sitting around listening to my uncles "freestyle", they weren't rappers nor did they pretend to be, it was just something they did every once in a while. Sometimes they'd even let me join in.
Buy the time I was in 6th grade I actually began to write my own music, due to the influence of my older brother, whom I credit now for me finding out my extreme talent later in life. But it was nothing too serious, I honestly only did it because of my brother who was actually a decent rapper in our younger days and is still pretty okay today. When he would grab his notebook and begin to write, so did I. By having "writing sessions" in our minds we probably felt like we were like Jay-Z and Tupac (hahaha). But yet I don't really believe it was my true passion at that age. In those years I was all about basketball.
Taking a quick glimpse over the next couple of years (the rest of middle school and through the 10th grade) rapping still wasn't my thing, basically I didn't realize just how amazing I was. I would kick a couple funny freestyles here and there to get some ooo's and ahhh's and a couple laughs out of people.
This brings us to the 11th grade... Now this is REALLY where things changed. Junior year was probably one of the best years of my life because this is when I realized so much about my self, such as my skill in writing. I can rememeber the exact moment. Mrs. Harper, my English teacher, gave us an assignment, "I want you guys to take about THREE to FIVE minutes to write a poem about being noticed, or noticing something," me being the rebel in everything, I raised my hand and asked, "Well can we write about NOT being noticed?," she agreed and we began to write.
I never really like to talk to the class with everyone's attention directly on me because I had a bit of a nervous condition where I'd sweat beyond my control. But my friend (Carta' N..) made a big scene, "Aye, GeorgiaBoy read your paper, we wanna here yours! Read your paper. blah blah blah". Of course I said no but by then everyone was campaigning in his favor and he agreed he would read his first if I promised to read mine. So he did...
Once he finished, suddenly it was my turn. I sucked it up and went for it. With my head hanging down and sweat dripping down my face I read my poem aloud: (I truly debating whether I should put it on here for everyone to read because I still have it.....but I'm scared someone might steal it lol)... But anyway, when it was over all the girls were clapping and everything and dudes were giving me my props lol it was a good feeling (actually I was just happy nobody made fun of me for it.) One of the boys actually slammed his hand on the table upset yelling "HOW DOES HE DO IT?!!!) LMAO!! We were cracking up after that.
So, that was the first moment I realized I was good at writing. Now 12th grade was when it was official in my mind and due to inspiring artists around me (Carta' and a few other people who would kick raps and freestyles with us) so was my ability to rap. They pushed me into a position where I realized my potential and now, not to sound like an asshole, I really don't feel like a lot of rappers can touch me when it comes to rap. I'm just waiting for that opportunity to come around so I can show the world what I'm capable of.
Pretty soon I may be posting some of my music and/or poetry on this blog so please be on the look out. I don't want to write TOO much so I guess well call it a night here...
